Meet the Innkeepers
It's no surprise that Christine's Bed and Breakfast opened its doors to guests in 1987. Steve and Christine are natives to this area. Steve is from the historic village of Sheffield, MA. He was born in the inn business. His parents owned a famous inn called the "The Blue Belton Inn" on Rt. 7. From 1946-1965 this inn resort had a nine hole golf course, pool, and fed breakfast, lunch and dinner year round, so these innkeepers know first hand about this business. Most local people will always remember the Blue Belton Inn. Christine is from Bennington VT. Christine study in human services in re-motivation therapy and recreation of 17 years. She truly loves being with and helping people. She met Steve in Williamstown when he was in college. They met and fell in love and were married at the Williamstown college campus church in 1969 . They raised two wonderful children, one is medical sales and one just moved to San Diego, Ca. with a career at a wonderful golf course in ca, And our grandson that is 3 now! When Steve is not working at the inn he owns and operates an insurance agency in Pittsfield and teaches skiing at Butternut Basin Ski Area. Christine spends her spare time gardening, golf and traveling. Christine and Steve's hobbies range from golf to skiing, gardening, and cooking for all their guests. For those of you that have not met Tucker , he is our newest addition to the Inn. a 7 year old English yellow lab.. After Penny passed Christines became a "Pet Friendly Inn" and We love it. We were written up in Fido Friendly Magazine in August. Steve and Christine are grandparents for thoses who do not know. Tyler is almost 4 years old and he is a joy to be with. In the Innkeepers off season time, Christines has added some new hobbies to the Inn. Christine is doing cooking demos at Grape Vines wine Store in Great Barrington Ma. and also she has done a new Cooking show on local channel 17 called "Cooking with Kids". This year Christine had added a large herb garden for the guests to have the freshish breakfast foods possible. In 2007 most of the Inn has gone green, from lighting to materials for cleaning, its the only thing we can do to help the earth. Thank you all
